Using Corel Photo-Paint Touch Up Brush

The Touch-Up Brush in Corel Photo-Paint can help you to fix those blemishes or small errors in a photo.

My son does not like all of the freckles on his face (while I simply adore them). I was able to use the Touch Up Brush to remove enough to make him happy.

The tool is easy to use - scroll to see the video.

Using the Clone Tool in Corel PHOTO-PAINT

On of the best tools at your disposable in Corel PHOTO-PAINT is the Clone tool. This tool helps you to remove areas of your photo that you wish to remove. It allows you to take pixels of surrounding areas and cover up the unwanted portions.

In this example I needed to remove the photo-bomber from a picture of myself and my son. I used the grassy areas to covered her up!

Shell Laminate Sheet as inlays for wood

Have you seen our beautiful shell laminate? It works well as an inlay. These sheets are handmade in New Zealand. The abalone is hand sliced from the shell and carefully added to a mold piece by piece until it is full. Then the shells are laminated to perfection. See this video on using our double-stick tape to adhere the shell: http://tiny.cc/doubletape - the sheets can be located here: http://tiny.cc/shellsheet

Leather Baseball Medallions and CorelDRAW jig and template

Leather is a great product to engrave upon. I took our 3 1/16" leather rounds and made medallions for my son's baseball team. It was a neat end-of-season surprise for them.

I first created the jig out of an alder sheet so that I could engrave more than one at a time. This DRAW file contains the layout for both the jig and the baseballs.

For the leather, use a paper mask for vector cutting. Cut at 1200dpi. With a 50-watt I used P=100, S=10. Remove the mask and raster at 600dpi, P=65, S=100. Then I added a leather neck strap.
